Pandora for Business alternative

Pandora's algorithm runs your store. Not you.

You seeded a station. Pandora's algorithm decided the rest. Entuned delivers the same brand-owned music in every location — original, owned by us, browser-based. Free forever, no credit card.

What Pandora gets right

Pandora's recommendation engine is one of the best in the world at what it does. For a single owner-operator who wants "music that doesn't repeat all day, give me a brand to seed it from, and stop," it works. Three things they nail:

Long-running stations

Seed from one band and Pandora keeps the station interesting for hours without repeat fatigue. The recommendation logic is genuinely good.

Dependable hardware

CloudBox and the Mood-resold player are both reliable, well-supported devices for operators who want a one-time hardware install.

Clean licensing posture

PRO obligations bundled into the subscription so a single-location operator doesn't need to file separately.

For multi-location operators

Where Pandora falls short

Five operator-level problems we hear from stores switching off Pandora for Business.

Algorithmic drift between locations

Pandora stations evolve based on local listening behavior. Two locations with the same seed won't sound the same after a week. For a multi-store brand trying to sound like one brand, that's structural, not tuneable.

Per-location, per-zone, per-device

A 3-zone store is 3 subscriptions plus 3 boxes (or 3 BYOD setups). Both the Mood-resold and direct CloudCover versions stack the same way.

Hardware push

$99 player with Mood, $99.50 CloudBox direct. Another box to lose, troubleshoot, and replace at every location, even though BYOD is technically supported.

No published lift methodology

Pandora markets atmosphere and recognizability but we couldn't find a published methodology for measuring basket-size or dwell-time lift inside your store.

Two products, one brand name

"Pandora for Business" sold by Mood and CloudCover sold direct are different SKUs with different terms. Operators conflate the two and end up with the wrong contract.

What Entuned does instead

Free forever. Per-location, not per-zone or per-device. Same brand-owned music in every location — no drift. No box. PRO-indemnified.

Common questions

Switching from Pandora for Business

Can I keep my Pandora for Business account while testing Entuned?
Yes. Entuned Free is $0 with no credit card, so you can run it on a tablet or laptop in one zone of one store while your Pandora subscription stays active. We recommend doing exactly that for a couple of weeks — comparing two locations side by side makes the drift problem obvious in a way pricing pages can't.
Do I have to keep the CloudBox or Mood player to use Entuned?
No. Entuned has no proprietary hardware — the player runs in a normal browser. You can repurpose any browser-capable device (an old iPad, a Chromecast-equipped TV, a small mini-PC behind the bar) and the CloudBox or Mood Harmony player can be returned or unplugged once Pandora is cancelled.
Will I owe ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC if I switch to Entuned?
No, not for music played through Entuned. We compose and own every track in our catalog outright, so there is no PRO obligation passed to the operator for audio Entuned delivers. Live performances or other audio sources keep their own licensing posture.
How fast can I roll Entuned out across all my locations?
Each location takes minutes — the player is a URL on a browser-capable device. Multi-location operators self-serve through app.entuned.co/start and use the customer dashboard to manage all sites from one login. There's no shipping, no install appointment, and the same programming plays in every store.
Is there a usage limit on Entuned Free?
Entuned Free is a real free tier — no credit card, no trial timer, intended for ongoing use by single-location operators who don't need the deeper customization or measurement of the paid tiers. The differences are documented on the pricing page; nothing on the free tier expires.
Can I seed Entuned from a Pandora station I like?
Sort of, but better. Instead of seeding from a station, Entuned interviews your space, your customer, and your daypart structure, and engineers programming around the parameters that drive retail outcomes — pace, energy arc, lyrical density, harmonic feel. You can absolutely point us at a Pandora station as a reference; we'll translate what's working about it into something owned and consistent.

Hear it on your floor.

Entuned Free — no credit card, no time limit. Original music designed for your customer and your store. The same in every location, in any modern browser.
